Though the majority of exterior locations filmed in The Last Edition were shot in San Francisco, at times Los Angeles stood in as a substitute for Baghdad by the Bay. Clarence Walker’s pursuit of ‘Red’ Moran combines shots filmed in both San Francisco and L.A., and director Emory Johnson included what appears to be stock footage of fire trucks racing through downtown Los Angeles in the climactic final reel.
